I don’t know where to start telling you how much Zulsar actually means to me, so I`ll try to keep it as short as possible.

In my last year of high school I had a dream about having a child (which means my future child) for the first time. I remember it was around Christmas time, and my dream went like this: There were a bunch of kids sitting in class, and the teacher was calling their names loudly. But when it came time to call “my daughter”, she lowered her voice, and politely said “Zulsar”. Which means “Christmas” in Mongolian. I could see admiration on her voice, and the whole class looked at her that way too!

When my “baby” came and stood up, I was shocked by her appearance. Was she like Audrey or Grace Kelly? I doubt it, but from her long and dark hair, perfect peach colored face, and, oh, those lips… I could tell she wasn’t like any of us from earth but like brightest light coming from sun… The next day, I woke up and decided to name my first girl child “Zulsar”, matter-of-factly, although everybody around me found the idea strange.

All the images from my dreams were strong for years and I believe this stemmed from my fascination with light. Lots of light. Something like this 200 meter length light tunnel at Nabana no Sato in Kuwana. This tunnel is created using around 1.2 million light bulbs, which turn it into a winter wonderland straight out of a fairy tale. Wow, wow, wow all the time.

Even though I couldn’t name my girl “Zulsar”, this wonderland reminded me how I wanted to back then. Most importantly, how I want this word to be a part of my life now. And we’re here, reading “Zulsar”. I hope “this girl” will collect my brightest side and keep reminding me of those images. Also, I promise I’ll love and take care of her like my baby love. (Did I just sound too mammy?) So, please visit us! I hope she’ll be your brightest heart too 🙂 x
